The 'organic' merger and evolution of the brand
The following are bits & pieces that illustrate some of the developments for and leading up to the launch of the new Joint Venture "Sony Ericsson". I was brought from Singapore to Sweden prior to the launch for the early development team and committee tasked with building the Brand Identity, DNA, Strategy and marketing platform and materials that would establish and launch this new brand into the global arena.

The Sony Ericsson mobile communications joint venture was established in 2001 by the Japanese consumer electronics company Sony Corporation and the Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson. The reason for the venture was to combine Sony's consumer electronics expertise with Ericsson's technological leadership in the communications sector.
